The Bugatti Type 57 and later variants (including the famous Atlantic and Atalante) was an entirely new design by Jean Bugatti, son of founder Ettore. Type 57s built were the resource persons from 1934 through 1940, with a total of 710 examples produced.

Someone who plays very important role in the development of this car is the son named Jean Ettore Bugatti. He is a man who developed a series of 57 types of personal style of the Atlantic. Jean developed a style that is a mix of tear-drop style of avant-grade along with the style of aircraft that can evoke memories of many people in the era of the thirties. Among the design features of that era is the kidney-shaped side windows, riveted fins, oval doors and the windshield is raked.
